Heritage and tourism writing that captivates audiences
Knowledge is for sharing. Let’s make it engaging and accessible for all.
I specialise in heritage and tourism writing, working with museums, tourism boards and local councils to tell the stories woven into our landscapes and pasts.
What I can write for you:
Educational signage that’s both accessible and entertaining. When it’s enjoyable to read, people stay to read it!
Museum interpretation panels that immerse visitors in your stories with clear, engaging content.
Guidebooks and visitor leaflets that delve deeper into your heritage space and help visitors make the most of it.
Website pages – the first place people will go to learn more about your organisation. Hook them from the start with inspiring content.
Blogs that educate and entice, show you’re an authority in the sector, and attract more visitors to your website.
Scripts for audio guides and videos that fire people’s imaginations!
Why I’m the writer for the job
As a heritage and tourism writer, I’m on a mission.
The world is a rich and curious place, and I want to show visitors why your corner of it is special.
I have first-hand experience across the museum, heritage and education sectors and will bring my knowledge (and love of learning) to your project.
I’m a published heritage writer, with commissions from the likes of BBC History Magazine and BBC Countryfile Magazine. Before going freelance, I led on marketing at the Brontë Parsonage Museum, and worked on digital content with heritage organisations such as Explore York Archives and MoSaF. With two History degrees to my name, I’m always happy to get stuck into the research side of a project, too.
Whether you work at a museum, a local council or any other tourism organisation, I’ll help you capture the imaginations of the visitors passing through your spaces.
